32.06.01.01 Executive Direction

General Fund Appropriation, provided that
$96,518 of the general fund appropriation
may be used to fund the salaries of the four
contractual staff hired to work on the three
class action legal suits, and further provided
that when final judgment has been entered
that these positions shall be abolished.........

LOCAL AND FAMILY HEALTH ADMINISTRATION

32.06.02.01 Family Health Services

General Fund Appropriation, provided that
no general funds may be used to fund the
salaries for the additional 2.5 FTE
contractual staff of cancer project 606 and
further provided that in the event that the
federal grant is not renewed by July 1, 1996
the positions shall be abolished....................

It is the intent of the General Assembly that the
position of Chief of the Dental Health Division
be reestablished at a level not to exceed an
Executive Level 4 step I, at a salary of
$60,798. This reduces the current salary in the
allowance from a salary of $69,000 at an
Executive Level 5 step 2, by $8,202. Further,
as the Department of Health and Mental
Hygiene reviews its staffing needs,
administrative and executive level positions
should be examined carefully. Performance,
experience and responsibility should be
carefully weighed in determining position and
salary level.
