SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Business Occupations and Professions

5-702.

Subject to the evaluation and reestablishment provisions of the Maryland Program
Evaluation Act, this title and all regulations adopted under this title shall terminate and
be of no effect after [July 1, 1996] JULY 1, 2001 JULY 1, 1998.

Article - State Government

8-403.

(e) On or before November 30 of the 2nd year before the evaluation date of a
governmental activity or unit, the Legislative Policy Committee may waive as unnecessary
the evaluation required under this section.

(L) EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN SUBSECTION (E) OF THIS SECTION,
ON OR BEFORE JULY 1, 2001 AN EVALUATION SHALL BE MADE OF THE STATE BOARD
OF COSMETOLOGISTS AND THE REGULATIONS THAT RELATE TO THE STATE BOARD
OF COSMETOLOGISTS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October July 1, 1996.

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed House Bill 485.

This bill repeals the prohibition on the sale or disposal of game bird or mammal that is
not permitted to be hunted or trapped in the State by a taxidermist or fur tanner licensee.
