(ii) the President of the Senate;

(iii) the Speaker of the House of Delegates;

(iv) the Secretary of General Services;

(v) the Director of Planning;

(vi) the State Senator and Delegates who represent the district in
which Annapolis is located;

(vii) the County Executive of Anne Arundel County;

(viii) the Mayor of Annapolis; and

(ix) the Superintendent of the United States Naval Academy.

(b) (1) The term of an appointed member is 4 years.

(2)     The terms of the appointed members are staggered as required by the
terms provided for appointed members of the Commission on October 1, 1984.

(3)     At the end of a term, an appointed member continues to serve until a
successor is appointed and qualifies.

(4)     A member who is appointed after a term has begun serves only for the
rest of the term and until a successor is appointed and qualifies.]

[ 9-404.

From among the appointed members of the Commission, the Governor shall
appoint a chairman.]                                                                                       

[9-405.                                                                                                           

(a) (1) The Commission shall meet at a regular time and place to be determined
by the Commission.

(2)     If the President is unable to attend a meeting, the President may
designate a senator or an employee of the General Assembly to represent the President at
the meeting.

(3)     If the Speaker is unable to attend a meeting, the Speaker may designate
a delegate or an employee of the General Assembly to represent the Speaker at the
meeting.

(4)     If the Governor is unable to attend a meeting, the Governor may
designate another individual to represent the Governor at the meeting.

(5)     If the County Executive of Anne Arundel County is unable to attend a
meeting, the Executive may designate another individual to represent the Executive at the
meeting.

(6)     If the Mayor of Annapolis is unable to attend a meeting, the Mayor may
designate another individual to represent the Mayor at the meeting.
