SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1995.

CHAPTER 86
(House Bill 830)

AN ACT concerning

Washington County - Water, Sewer, and Drainage Systems

FOR the purpose of providing that if the County Commissioners of Washington County
abolish the Washington County Sanitary District or the Washington County
Sanitary Commission, the County Commissioners assume all the powers, authority,
responsibilities, and liabilities of the District or Commission; providing that all
bonds, notes, bond anticipation notes and related obligations of the District become
valid, legal, binding, and enforceable obligations of the County on the abolition of
the District; authorizing the County Commissioners to create and appoint a certain
advisory authority; providing for the transfer of powers and duties, additional
powers of the County and its employees and agents, additional penalties, and
technical corrections contingent on the abolition of the District and the
Commission; defining certain terms; making this Act an emergency measure; and
generally relating to the responsibility and powers relating to water, sewer, and
drainage systems in Washington County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

The Public Local Laws of Washington County

Section 1-601; and 6-101, 6-204 through 6-206, inclusive, 6-208, 6-209, 6-301,
6-302, 6-303, and 6-305 through 6-312, inclusive, 6-401 through 6-405 6-404,
inclusive, and 6-501 to be under the amended title "Title 6. Water, Sewer, and
Drainage Systems"

(1991 Edition and August 1994 Supplement, as amended)

BY repealing

The Public Local Laws of Washington County

Section 6-201 through 6-203, inclusive, and 6-207
