Test W.m Kirby Thomas Hubbard (L S) State of Maryland Dorchester County, To wit: On this twenty ninth day of May 1847 before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for the said County and State personally appeared Thomas Hubbard & acknowledged the above Bill of sale or instrument of writing to be his Act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof Acknowledged before W.m W. LeCompte J. P. Thomas Hubbard Be it remembered that the following deed of Manumission Paid to Ex.d was recorded on the 29.th day of May 1847. Sundry Negroes To all whom it may concern Be it known that I Thomas Hubbard of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for divers good Causes and considerations me thereto moving have this day manumitted my negroes Slaves to wit Affy Stephens was born the twentieth of August Eighteen hundred and twenty eight Gabriel Warfield was born twenty eighth February Eighteen hundred and thirty four Garretson Warfield was born the fourteenth of June Eighteen hundred & thirty one Henry Jackson Warfield was born the fifteenth April Eighteen hundred and thirty seven, Elizabeth Ann Warfield was born the fourth November Eighteen hundred and thirty seven, James Warfield was born the seventh of April Eighteen hundred and thirty nine, William Warfield was born sixth of September Eighteen hundred and forty one, Mary Jane Warfield was born Eighteenth of October Eighteen hundred and forty three, Milly Warfield was born January first Eighteen hundred and forty six, Sarah Catharine Stephens was born tenth of May Eighteen hundred and forty six all of which said negroes I do Manumit and set free when they and each of them shall arive at the age of thirty one years.
