Margaret Lamden Be it remembered that the following Bill of sale Paid from Ex.d was recorded on the 29.th day of May 1847, To wit: Thomas Hubbard Know all men by these presents that I Thomas Hubbard for love and affection have granted, bargained & sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto my daughter Margaret Lamdin my negroes named Affy Stephens, Elizabeth Ann Warfield, James Warfield, William Warfield, Mary Jane Warfield, Sarah Catharine Stephens and Milly Warfield to serve untill they arive at the age of thirty one years sound in body and mind. To have and to hold the said Negroes Affy, Elizabeth, Ann, James, William, Mary Jane, Sarah Catharine and Milly as above bargained and sold unto the said Margaret Lamdin her heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns against me the said Thomas Hubbard, my heirs, Executors and Administrators and against all and every other person or persons shall and will warrant and defend. In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty ninth day of May 1847.
