418 on the 10.th day of May 1852 to wit. Know all men by these presents that I Levin S. Fooks of Dorchester County and State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred dollars Current money to me in hand paid by Levin Busick of York County in the State of Virginia at or before the sealing and delivering and delivering of these the receipt whereof I the said Levin S Fooks do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and Sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Levin Busick his executors administrators and assigns the following property To wit Crop of wheat on the ground one brindle cow one sow and eight pigs two Beds bedsteads and furniture two carpets three tables twelve Chairs one water stand, two wash stands two Toilette Tables two looking Glasses one Clock eight pieces of Cooking implements Six pieces wooden ware one dozen knives and forks three barrels of Corn one wheelbarrow and all the balance of my household and kitchen furniture twenty Cord of wood cut in the woods To have and to hold all and singular the said goods household stuff and furniture and other the premises above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said Levin Busick his executors administrators and assigns forever In witness whereof I the said Levin S Fooks have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the 26.th day of April in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty Two Signed Sealed and Levin S. Fooks (seal) delivered in the presence of State of Virginia City of Williamsburg To wit On this 26.th day of April in the Year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty two before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for the said city personally appeared Levin S. Fooks and acknowledged the foregoing bill of sale or instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the goods and chattels therein named to be the right and estate of Levin Busick according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the act of assembly in such case made and provided and at the same time and place also appeared before me Levin Busick grantee in the said Bill of Sale named and made Oath that the Consideration set forth in the said Bill of sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth Acknowledged before me and certified by given under my hand and seal this 26.th day of April 1852 Jno A Denenfoille J. P. (seal) State of Virginia City of Williamsburg To wit I Trumen Christian clerk of the hustings Court for the city of Williamsburg in the State of Virginia aforesaid do hereby certify that John A Denenfoille whose Certificate is hereto annexed is an Alderman ex officis a Justice of the peace in and for the said city in the State of Virginia duly Commissioned and qualified to the said office according to the constitution and laws of the said state & that the said Court is a court of record In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of my said office this the twenty sixth (Seal) day of April in the year One thousand Eight hundred and fifty two and in the Seventy sixth year of the commonwealth T.
