403 the occupation of William Strawberry to have and to hold the said goods and chattels and other premises hereby bargained and sold or mentioned or intended so to be to the said James Wallace his heirs and assigns forever In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 12.th day of March in the year 1852 his Taken acknowledge before William + Strawberry (seal) James Rea J. P. mark State of Maryland Dorchester County Sct Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that on this 12.th day of March in the year 1852 before the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of Maryland in and for said county personally appeared William Strawberry he being known to me to be the person who is named and described as and professing to be the party vendor to the foregoing deed or instrument of writing doth acknowledge the said instrument of writing to be his act and deed and at the same time appeared James Wallace the party vendee to the foregoing deed and makes oath that the consideration therein mentioned is true and bona fide as therein set forth In testimony whereof I hereunto suscribe my name on the day and year aforesaid James Rea J. P. Josiah Hughes and Coloured Be it remembered and it is hereby certified William Hughes men that the following ^Mortgage^ Bill of sale was received and from Exam.d recorded on the fifteenth day of March 1852 Charles Austin Colored man This Indenture made this 15.th day of March Paid 1852 between Charles Austin free Colored man of Dorchester County and state of Maryland of the one part and Josiah Hughes and William Hughes of the same County and State aforesaid of the other part Whereas the Said Charles Austin on the 24.th day of January 1852 gave his bill obligatory with the said Josiah Hughes and William Hughes as his Securities to John A. Scott for the Sum of Two Hundred and Nineteen Dollars payable on demand and whereas the Said Charles Austin to save harmless and indemnify the Said Josiah Hughes and William Hughes their heirs executors or administrators from any loss or reason of their Securityship as aforesaid hath agreed to execute these presents Now this indenture Witnesseth that the Said Charles Austin for and in Consideration of the premises and of the further Sum of one dollar Current Money to him in hand paid by the Said Josiah Hughes and William Hughes at or before the Sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof the Said Charles Austin doth hereby acknowledge the Said Charles Austin hath given granted bargained and Sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and Sell unto Josiah Hughes and William Hughes their executors administrators and assigns all and Singular the following |
