forty Eight years.  To have and to hold the said Negro Man Dannis
Keene and other the premises above bargained and sold or mentioned
and intended so to be to the said Stanly Richardson his Executors
administrators and assigns forever and also that he
the said James Brice his heirs and assigns the negro Man Dennis
Keene above discribed and herein Mentioned to be granted bargained
and sold unto the said Stanley Richardson his heirs and assigns
shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents against
all the claims of all persons whomsoever.  In Testimony whereof
the said James Busick has hereunto se this hand and seal this
sixth day of November in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred
and fifty one

State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit  On the sixth day
of November in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty
one before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace in and
for the said County personally appeared James Busick and
acknowledged the foregoing Bill of sale or instrument of writing
to be his act and deed according to the purport true Intent and
Meaning thereof and the act of Assembly in such cases made
and provided.  And at the same time and place also appeared
before me Stanley Richardson grantee in the foregoing bill of
Sale named and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty
God that the Consideration set fourth in the said bill of sale is
true and bane fide as therein set fourth
    Acknowledged and sworn before me         James Hammersly

Received the 9th day February 1852 of Stanley Richardson the
sum of one dollar


John S. Staplefort      Be it remembered and it is hereby certified
          from      70      that that the following Bill of Sale was
Samuel Byrns            received and recorded on the 24th day of December
                                 1851

This Indenture made this Eighteenth day of December in the year
of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and fifty one between Samuel Burns
of Dorchester County and State of Maryland of the one part and John
S Staplefort of the same county and state aforesaid of the other part
whereas the said Samuel Burns owes and stands Justly Indebted to
the said John S Staplefort in the sum of two hundred and forty dollars
and Eighty four Cents Current Money and to secure the payment thereof
is willing to Execute these presents.  Now This Indenture Witnesseth
that the said Samuel Burns for and in consideration of the premises
and of the sum of one dollar current money to him in hand paid
by the said John S. Staplefort, has given, granted, bargained & sold, and by

delivered to John S Staplefort March 11th 1852
