party to the foregoing Bill of Sale or indenture, and doth acknowledge
teh foregoing Bill of Sale or instrument of writing to be
his Act and deed:  And at the same time & place, also appeared
before me, John D. Jackson, the Mortgage or grantee in teh said
Indenture, or Bill of Sale named, and made Oatrh on the Holy
Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration set forth in the
said Mortgage or bill of sale is true and bona fisde as therein
set forth.         Sworn to and Acknowledged before

W.m H. Conaway          Be it remembered that the following Bill of
Ex.d       from       65      Sale was recorded on the 10.th day of November 1851.
John M.cCollester           $225.00.  Know all men by these presents that I,
                                      Jn.o M.cCollester, of Dorchester County State of
Maryland, for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred
& twenty five dollars, lawful money of the State of
Maryland, in hand paid by W. H. Comaway of the County &
State above mentioned, which is in full payment for my Negro
Slave named named william Henry Goodin, he being Eleven years
old on the twelvth day of October Eighteen hundred & fifty one,
to serve as a slave untill he is twenty five  years old and
no longer & then to be free & discharged from all furtner &
manner of servitude, as will more fully appear on reference
to a Manumission to him & other negroes made
by John M. Johnson and recorded in teh Clerks Office of
Baltimore County Court, said Negro being sold without any
guarrante of character or qualifications of any kidn
whatever by me, which negro servant to be perfectly sound
and in a healthy condition & a bona fide slave for the
above named time & no longer, said negroe slave within to be
taken, carried or snet, nor in any way whatsoever by any person or persons
removed without the limits of teh State of Maryland:  the right &
title of said Slave I will forever warrant & guarrantee against all
claims of any kind whatever for the period above mentioned.
In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands & seals this
twenty eighth day of October Eighteen hundred & fifty one.

State of Maryland, Dorchester County, To wit:

Be it remembered that on the twenty eighth day of October 1851
before the subscriber, a Justice of hte Peace for the said County &
State, appears John M.cCollester & Wm H. Conaway and Acknowledge

delivered to W.m H Conaway April 24th 1852.
