In testimony whereof i have hereunto set my hand and affixed
my this sixteenth day of August Eighteen hundred & fifty one.

State of Maryland, Dorchester County.  To wit:  On this 16.th day of
August 1851 personally appeared before me a Justice of the
Peace in & for said County, the above named Seller & buyer and
acknowledge the above bill of sale to be their act & deed, according to
the purport, true intent & meaning of the same:  And at the same
time came before me John Mills, the buyer above mentioned, and made
oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration set
forth in this bill of sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth,
according to the true meaning of the Act of Assembly of 1846, Chapter
271, made & provided.               Acknowledged before

George Hooper            Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified, that the following
Ex.d      from      93      Bill of Sale was recorded On the 4.th day of September 1851, to wit:
Jeremiah L. Pattison      Know all men by these Presents that I Jeremiah L Pattison
Paid                              of Dorchester County and State of Maryland for and
in Consideration of the sum of One hundred Dollars lawful money of the United States, in
hand Paid by George Hooper at or before the sealing and delivery of these Presents the receipt
whereof is hereby Acknowledged:  Have granted, bargained and sold, and by these Presents
Do Grant, bargain and sell, unto the said George Hooper aged about thirty one years
To Have and To Hold the said described negro woman Deanna Hooper to the said
George Hooper and I the said Jeremiah L Pattison his Executors, Administrators and Assigns
forever and I the said Jeremiah L. Pattison, for myself my heirs, Execrators and Administrators
the said negro woman Deanna Hooper unto the said George Hooper his executors administrators
and assigns against me the said Jeremiah L Pattison my executors and administrators and
against all and every other Person or Persons whatsoever shall and will Warrant and forever
Defend by these Presents.  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal
this 22d day of August Eighteen hundred and fifty one

in the Presence of

Dorchester County ss.  Be it Remembered, That on this 22d day of August 1851, before the subscriber
a Justice of the Peace for said County appears Jeremiah L. Pattison, and acknowledges the above
instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning hereof
