In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 6.th
day of August 1851.
Signed sealed & delivered in the presence of         Henry Cook   (seal)

State of Maryland, Dorchester County, To wit:  On this 6.th day of
August 1851, before me the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace for
said County, personally appeared Henry Cook and acknowledged the
foregoing Bill of Sale to be his Act & deed, according to the true
purport and meaning of the same, and the Acts of Assembly in
such case made & provided.  And at the same time appeared
Henry Thomas, party grantee named in the aforesaid Bill
sale, and made Oath that the consideration set forth in said
Bill of sale true and boni fide as therein set forth.

John Mills                         Be it remembered that the following Bill of
Paid   Ex.d   from   65      Sale was recorded on the 25.th day of August 1851.
W.m Harding                    {Stamp}     Know all men by these presents that I
                                       {one Dol.}   William Harding of Dorchester County
and state of Maryland, for and in consideration of the sum of
two hundred & eighteen dollars & seventy four & a half cents, current
money to me in hand paid by John of the County and state aforesaid,
at & before the sealing & delivery hereof, the receipt whereof I
do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained & sold, and by these
presents do grant, bargain & sell, unto the said John Mills,
his Executors, Administrators & Assigns, one Bay Horse ten years
old, one Bay Mare ten years old, one Colt four months old,
all my part of the Corn now growing on the ground, all my
part of the which now threshed out, ten head of Sheep, Twenty
head of Hogs, two Cows, one Cart, one Carriage & all my
Household & Kitchen furniture, all of which property is now in
my possession.  To have and to hold the same described property,
above bargained & sold, to the said John Mills, his Executors, Administrators
and Assigns forever, to his and their only proper use & benefit.
And I, the sid William Harding, for myself, my Executors and
Administrators shall and will warrant & forever defend by these
presents to the said John Mills, his Executors, Administrators
and Assigns the said described property against me, my Executors
and Administrators, and against all and every other person or
