aforesaid, and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God
that the consideration set forth in the aforesaid Bill of sale is
true & bona fide according to the Act of Assembly in such
Cases made & provided.               Sworn before

Josiah Carroll &              Be it remembered & it is hereby certified
William Hurst                  that the following Bill of Sale was
paid  Ex.d  from  105      recorded on the 28.th day of July 1851.
Baynard White                This Indenture made this 28.th day
                                       of July in the year of Our Lord Eighteen
hundred and fifty one, between Baynard White, of Dorchester &
State of Maryland of the one part, and Josiah Carroll and
William Hurst, of the same County & State aforesaid, of the
other part:  Whereas the said Baynard White owes and stands
justly indebted to the said Josiah Carroll & William
Hurst in the sum of thirty dollars, current money, and
to secure the payment thereof is willing to execute these
presents:  Now this Indenture Witnesseth, that the said
Baynard White, for and in consideration of the premises,
and for and in consideration of the sum of
dollars, current money, to him in hand paid by the said Josiah
Carroll and William Hurst, at & before the sealing and
delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof the said Baynard
White doth hereby acknowledge, and thereof and thereupon doth
acquit, release, exonerate and forever discharge the said Josiah
Carroll and William Hurst, their Heirs, Executors and Administrators
and every of them by these presents, hath granted, bargained
& sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain & sell
unto Josiah Carroll & William Hurst, their Executors, Administrators
and Assigns, all & singular the following property and
stock of Cattle hereinafter particularly mentioned & expressed,
(that is to say) one Cart, one yoke of Oxen and three young
Cattle.  To have and to hold all and singular the said
property and stock of Cattle, herein before granted, bargained
and sold, or mentioned or intended so to be, unto the said
Josiah Carroll & William Hurst, their Executors, Administrators
and Assigns, to the only proper use & behoof of the
said Josiah Carroll and William Hurst, their Executors,
Administrators and Assigns forever:  Provided Always,
and these presents are upon this condition that if the
said Baynard White, his Executors or Administrators,
shall and so well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto
