284 Collins Vincent Be it remembered & it is hereby certified that the following Paid Ex.d from 75 Bill of sale was recorded on the 2.d day of November 1850. A. T. Wheatley Ex.r Know all men by these presents that I Augustus T. Wheatley of Dorchester County in the state of Maryland, Executor of Jesse Wheatley, late of said County deceased, for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred & sixty eight dollars, to me in hand paid by Collins Vincent of the County & State aforesaid, at or before the sealing & delivery ot these presents, the receipt whereof I the said Augustus T. Wheatley, Executor of Jesse Wheatley deceased, do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain & sell unto the said Collins Vincent, his heirs and Assigns, a certain Negro Boy, a slave for life, named Levin, supposed to be about three years old. To have and to hold the said Negro Boy named Levin, above bargained and sold, or mentioned so to be, to the said Collins Vincent, his heirs and Assigns forever: And I the said Augustus T. Wheatley, Executor of Jesse Wheatley deceased, for my self my heirs, Executors and Administrators, the said Negro Boy named Levin, a slave unto the said Collins Vincent his heirs and Assigns, against me the said Augustus T. Wheatley, Exec.r of Jesse Wheatley deceased, my heirs & assigns, shall & will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In Witness my hand & seal this sixteenth day of October in the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty Signed, sealed & delivered in the Augustus T. Wheatley (seal) presence of Jo.s H. Bell J. P. Ex.r of Jesse Wheatley deceased State of Maryland, Dorchester County, To wit: Be it remembered & it is hereby certified that on this sixteenth day of Oct.r in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred & fifty, before me the subscriber, one of the Justices of the Peace in and for said County, personally appeared Augustus T. Wheatley, Ex.r of Jesse Wheatley deca.d and doth Acknowledge the within Bill of sale, or instrument of writing to be his Act and deed for the purpose therein mentioned. In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name on the day and year first above written. Joseph H Bell J. P. State of Md, Dorchester County, To wit: On this 16.th day of October, in the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty, before me the subscriber, one of the Justices of the Peace, in and for said County, personally appeared Collins Vinson and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration set forth in the foregoing Bill of sale is true and bona fide.
