278 Charles Palmer of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for and in Consideration of the love good will and natural affection which have for and owe unto my Son William C. Palmer of the County and State aforesaid I the said Charles Palmer do hereby acknowledge, have given granted and by these presents do give and grant unto my said son William C Palmer his executors administrators and assigns the following goods and chattels there hereinafter named that is to say one horse named Charley one ox cart two yoke or pair of Steers, one Canoe, one trunk, one writing desk, one desk and drawers, all and singular which said goods and chattels are now remaining in the house where I now live and on the premises attached thereto, it being a certain messuage or tenement situate in Dorchester County aforesaid and now in the occupation of the said Charles Palmer. To Have and to Hold all and singular the said goods household stuff and furniture and other the premises above given and granted or mentioned and intended so to be to the said William C. Palmer his executors, administrators and assigns forever, And I the said Charles Palmer for myself my heirs executors and administrators all and singular the said goods and chattels household stuff and furniture and other the premises unto the said William C. Palmer his executors administrators and assigns against me the said Charles Palmer my executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents, of all and singular which said Goods and chattels household stuff and furniture and other the premises I the said Charles Palmer hold in my possession for the use of the said William C Palmer In Witness whereof I the said Charles Palmer have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date above written Test D. W. Tyler Charles Palmer (seal) Maryland, Dorchester County, to wit: Be it remembered that on this 7.th day of October 1850 personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for Dorchester County Charles Palmer and acknowledged the within Bill of Sale or gift to be his act and deed and delivered the same for the uses and purposes therein mentioned according to the acts of Assembly in such Case made and provided. Acknowledged before and Certified by D. W. Tyler James Thompson Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale was recorded on the paid Ex.d from 65 12.th day of October Anno Domini Eighteen hundred and fifty, to wit: Henry Lee Thompson Know all men by these presents that I Henry Lee Thompson of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland, for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty Dollars current money to me in hand paid by James Thompson of the County and State aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof I the said Henry Lee Thompson do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto James Thompson his executors administrators and assigns, one Bay mare pigeon, is now remaining in the occupancy of the said Henry lee Thompson. To Have and to Hold the said Bay mare pigeon above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said James Thompson his executors administrators and assigns forever and I the said Henry Lee Thompson for myself my heirs executors and administrators all and singular the said Bay mare pigeon and other premises unto the said James Thompson his executors administrators and assigns, all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents of all and singular which said Bay Mare Pigeon I the said Henry Lee Thompson |
