277 John S. B. Woolford Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale was Paid Ex.d from 80 recorded on the ninth day of October Anno Domini 1850, to wit: Waters Brown Know all men by these presents that I Waters Brown of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for and in Consideration of the sum of One Hundred and twelve and thirty cents current money to me in hand paid by John S. B. Woolford of said County and State at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said Waters Brown do hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said John S. B. Woolford his executors administrators and assigns all the goods hereafter particularly mentioned that is to say one yoke of oxen, one ox Cart, one bay mare, one Carriage and harness, one heiffer, two ploughs, eight head of hogs, one harrow one roler, ten bushels wheat, twenty five barrells corn, two stacks fodder, two stacks of straw, nine hundred pounds of blades, one set planes, one saw, three augers, three chests, two beds, one set chairs, two looking glasses, one basket, two lamps, thirty head of fowl, all and singular which said goods and chattels are now remaining standing and being on the farm owned by Thomas S Pence and in possession of said Waters Brown in the County and State above named. To have and to Hold all and singular the said goods, household stuff and furniture and other the premises above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said John S. B. Woolford his executors and administrators and assigns forever, and I the said Waters Brown for myself my heirs executors and administrators all and singular the said goods, household stuff and furniture and other the premises unto the said John S. B. Woolford his executors administrators and assigns against me the said Waters Brown my executors administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents, of all and singular which said Goods household stuff and furniture and other the premises I the said Waters Brown have put the said John S. B. Woolford in full possession by delivering to him the said John S. B. Woolford one yoke of oxen and cart at the sealing and delivering of these presents in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be sold unto him the said John S. B. Woolford aforesaid. As Witness my hand seal this 5.th day of October 1850. in the presence of Charles Brown (seal) Whitefield Woolford State of Maryland, Dorchester County, to wit: On this fifth day of October 1850 before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for said County and State personally appeared Waters Brown and acknowledged his hand and seal this instrument of writing to be his act and deed the property herein described to be the right of John S. B. Woolford aslo personally appeared John S. B. Woolford and makes Oath on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God that the Consideration set forth in the within mortgage or Bill of Sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth to the best of his knowledge and belief Sworn before Whitefield Woolford 1851 February 11 Deld to John S B Woolford William C.
