264 are held and firmly unto the State of Maryland, in the full and just sum of Thirty six thousand two hundred and three Dollars and sixty cents current money of the United States, to be paid to the said State or its certain Attorney, to the which payment well and truly to be made and done, we bind ourselves and each of us, our and each of our heirs executors and administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents, sealed with our Seals and dated this eighth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty. The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bounden John Richardson appointed Collector of Dorchester County, shall well and faithfully execute his office and the several duties required of him by law, and shall well and truly account for, and pay to the Commissioners for Dorchester County, or to their order, the Several Sums of MOney which he shall receive or be answerable for by law at such time as the law shall direct, then the above obligation to be void or else to be and remain in full force and virtue in law. Willis two of the subscribing witnesses to the within Bond before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace of the State of Maryland, for Dorchester County aforesaid, and severally made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that they did see John Richardson, John W. D. Traverse, Samuel Harrington, Joseph Bradshaw, James E. Hall, James Woolford and Hiram W. Woolford obligors in the said Bond Sign seal and deliver the said Bond as their respective act and deed, and that they the said James Higgins and John L. Willis did Subscribe their names as witnesses thereto James Hammersly By the Commissioners Dorchester County July 15th 1850 This Bond examined and approved by order of the Board Test W.m Rea, Clerk The State of Maryland Be it remembered that the following Bond was recorded on Exam.d from 50 the fifteenth day of July Anno Domini 1850, to wit: John Richardson & others Know all men by these presents, that we John Richardson, {Six dollar Stamp} John W. D. Traverse Samuel Harrington, Joseph Bradshaw, James E. Hall, James Woolford and Hiram W.
