Levin Jones and          Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale was recorded
John W. Dail               on the Eighth day of July Anno Domini 1850 to wit:
Exam.d   from   80      $77.44   Know all Men by these presents, that I Aaron
Aaron Mitchell            Mitchell of Dorchester County and State of Maryland for and in
                                   Consideration of the Sum of Seventy Seven Dollars and forty four cts
to me in hand paid by Levin Jones and John W. Dail of the same County and State aforesaid
(or secured to them the above amount of Money that they have agreed and promised to pay
unto William B. Dail administrator of Jeremiah Morine on or before the 4th December 1850
a debt of my own Contracting and which they have endorsed for me) at or before the ensealing and
delivering of these presents, the receipt whereof I the said Aaron Mitchell do hereby acknowledge,
have bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the Levin Jones
and John W. Dail their executors administrators and assigns, one black gelding horse that I
purchased from Thomas Lamdin, also one grey horse that I bought from W. T. Goldsborough,
also one white Bull, one 1 red heifer, one white heifer, one brindle cow and 9 head of sheep,
all being the property that I purchased from William B. Dail administrators of Jeremiah Morine
dec.d also negro boy named Levin aged eight years a slave for life:  To Have and to Hold the
above described property their executors administrators and assigns forever. And I the said
Aaron Mitchell for myself my heirs executors and administrators, the aforesaid described
property to the said Levin Jones and John W. Dail their executors administrators and assigns
against me the said Aaron Mitchell my executors and administrators and against all and
every person and persons whomsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these
presents.  Provided nevertheless that in Case I the said Aaron Mitchell shall pay and satisfy
the said Levin Jones and John W. Dail their heirs or assigns the sum of Seventy seven Dollars
and forty four cts in Current money, with the interest and Costs for the same on or before the 1st
January 1851 next then this bill of Sale and every matter and thing therein expressed shall be void
and of none effect, it being the true intent and meaning thereof, that the said described property is
Mortgaged by me the said Aaron Mitchell to Secure to the said Levin Jones and John W. Dail
the payment of the money aforesaid,  In Witness My hand and seal this the 28 June 1850.

Maryland, Dorchester County, to wit:   On this 28h June 1850 before me one of the Justices of the
Peace in and for the said County and State appears Aaron Mitchell and acknowledged the
foregoing writing to be his act and deed, according to the true meaning and intent thereof and the
act of Assembly in such Case made and provided, And also personally appeared at the same
time Levin Jones and John W. Dail and made oath on the Holy Evangely of the Almighty
God, that the Consideration set forth in the within Bill of Sale is true and Bona fide as

The State of Maryland        Be it remembered that the following Bond was recorded on
Exam.d      from      70        the fifteenth day of July Anno Domini 1850, to wit:
John Richardson & others   Know all Men by these presents, that we John Richardson, John
{Six Dollar Stamp}             W. D. Traverse, Samuel Harrington, Joseph Bradshaw, James E.
Hall, James Woolford and Hiram W. Woolford of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland
