Brannan, for myself, heirs, executors & administrators, the said Black Girl, unto the said Thomas Jones, his executors, Administrators and Assigns, against me the said Ja.s M. Brannan, my executors and Administrators, and against all & every other person or persons whatsoever, shall & will warrant and forever defend by these presents. Be it remembered that on this thirteenth day of May 1850, before the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace for said City, appears James M. Brannan & Thomas Jones and Acknowledges the above instrument of writing to be their Act & deed, according to the true intent & meaning thereof: At the same time also appeared Thomas Jones, Grantee named in the before going Bill of sale, and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration therein set forth is true and bona fide as set forth. Acknowledged & sworn before, A. H. Penington. State of Maryland, Baltimore County, Sct: I hereby Certified that A. H. Penington Esq.r before whom the anexed Acknowledgment & affidavit was made, and who has thereto subscribed his name, was at the time of so doing, a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for the City of Baltimore, duly Commissioned and sworn. Samuel Craig Sen.r Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that the following Bill of Paid Ex.d from Sale was recorded on the 23.d day of May in the year 1850, To wit: Samuel Craig J.r Know all men by these presents that I, Samuel Craig Jun.r of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland, for and in consideration of the sum of Eighty five dollars, current money, to me in hand paid by Samuel Craig Sen.r, Purchaser, of Dorchester County in the said State, at & before the selling & delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof I, the said Samuel Craig J.r, Seller, do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained & sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain & sell, unto the said Samuel Craig Sen.r, purchaser, his executors, Administrators and Assigns, All the goods, house hold stuff, that is to say, three Beds & furniture, one dozen Chairs, two Tables, one Sow & four Shoats, all of the named property are on the Premises of SAmuel Craig J.r Seller the said Samuel Craig, purchaser is to have and to hold all & singular the said goods above bargained and sold, or mentioned & intended so to be to the said Samuel Craig Purchaser his executors, Administrators & Assigns forever: And I, the said Samuel Craig J.r |
