245 the interest & cents that have or may accrue thereon, and save harmless & free from loss the said Joseph Bradshaw, by reason or consequence of his having superseeded the above mentioned judgments then & in such case these presents & every part thereof shall be utterly null and void & of none effect, any thing herein contained to the contrary notwithstanding All of said Articles, to wit, the Horse Bill, Buggy Waggon & harness I have put into the possession of the said Joseph Bradshaw for the purposes above mentioned. In testimony whereof the said Henry K. Hoyt has hereunto set his hand and seal on the day & year first aforesaid. Signed, sealed & delivered in the presence of Henry K. Hoyt (seal) Charles Corkran Dorchester County sct. Be it remembered & it is hereby certified that on the 8 day of April in the year 1850, before me the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace of the state of Maryland in & for Dorchester County, personally appears Henry K. Hoyt, he being known to me to be the person who is named & described as and professing to be party Mortgagor in the above mentioned Bill of sale, and acknowledges the said Indenture or instrument of Writing to be his act & deed in testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribe my name on the day & year aforesaid. At the same time personally appeared Joseph Bradshaw party Mortgagee in the above Mortgage Bill of sale, and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration mentioned in the aforegoing Mortgage Bill of sale is true & bona fide as therein set forth, according to the act of Assembly in such case made and provided. In testimony whereof I subscribe my name on the day and year aforesaid. Charles Corkran/ Mary Kennard Negro Be it remembered & it is hereby certified that the following Ex.d from 60 Bill of sale was recorded on the 11.th day of April 1850. Ulyses Hugunin Know all Men by these presents that I, Ulysses Hugenin, of Dorchester County and State of Maryland, for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, current money, to me in hand paid by Mary Kennard, free colored woman, of Dorchester County & state of Maryland, have granted, bargained & sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain & sell, unto the said Mary Kennard, his heirs & Assigns the following Negro, To wit, Negro Man Moses Kennard, lately purchased by me of Capt Lewis Ross, supposed to be between fifty & sixty years of age, slave for life and sound in body & mind; To have and to hold the said Negro man, Moses Kennard, unto the said Mary Kennard, as above bargained and sold, unto the said Mary Kennard, her heirs, executors, Administrators & Assigns, against me the said Ulyses Huguenin, my heirs, executors and Administrators, and against all & every other person or persons whatsoever, shall & will warrant and forever defend. In testimony whereof I, the said Ulyses Huguenin have hereto set my hand and affixed seal this sixth day of April Eighteen hundred & fifty.
