244. warrant & defend by these presents. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this first day of April Eighteen hundred & fifty. Signed, sealed & delivered in the presence of Geo. A. Z. Smith Harriet Webb (Seal) Maryland, Dorchester County, To wit: On this first day of April 1850, before me one of the Justices of the Peace in and for said County, appeared Harriet Webb and acknowledged the within indenture of writing to be her Act & deed, according to the true intent & meaning thereof and the Act of Assembly in such case made & provided. Witness my hand Geo. A. Z. Smith. Rec.d April 2.d 1850 of Thomas H. Webb fifty cents, the stamp on this Bill of sale being too small by that amount, and I endorse this receipt at the request of the said Thomas H. Webb Wm Jackson Clk Joseph Bradshaw Be it remembered & it is hereby certified that the following Ex.d from 95 Mortgage Bill of sale was recorded on the 6.th day Henry K. Hoyt of April in the year 1850, To wit: This Indenture made this 5.th day of April in the year 1850, between Henry K. Hoyt and Joseph Bradshaw, all of the State of Maryland and Dorchester County, Witnesseth that Whereas the said Henry K. Hoyt owes and stands justly indebted, by Judgment of Charles Corkran, a Justice of the Peace unto Nathan Roberts, one Judgment dated 5 day of April 1850 for the sum of forty six dollars & fifteen cents, also on a like judgment in favor of the said Roberts for the sum of fifty five dollars & four cents, bearing date on the same day & the said Henry K. Hoyt is indebted by Judgment confessed before said Corkran to one John Bradshaw in the sum of twenty one dollars & six & ¼ cents dated April 5.th 1850 And Whereas the said Joseph Bradshaw, for the accommodation of the said Henry K. Hoyt has superseeded the said several judgments and made himself responsible to the Plaintiffs in the said judgments for the said sums of Money therein mentioned: And Whereas the said Henry K. Hoyt is willing & desires to make sure & indemnify the said Joseph Bradshaw for his kind offices and risk by reason of the supersedeas above mentioned. Now this Indenture Witnesseth that for & in consideration of the premises and of the sum of one hundred & twenty two dollars, current money, in hand paid by the said Joseph Bradshaw, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said Henry K. Hoyt hath bargained & sold, and by these presents do give, grant, bargain & sell, to the said Joseph Bradshaw his Horse called Bill which he recently purchased of D.r Goldsborough, and his four wheeled Buggy waggon & Harness To have and to hold the said Horse and Buggy Waggon & Harness to the said Joseph Bradshaw & his heirs & Assigns forever: Provided Always and it is declared to be the true intent & meaning of these presents that if the said Henry K.
