204. Thomas B. Travers Be it remembered that the following Mortgage Ex.d from 120 Bill of Sale was recorded on the 25.th day of Thomas Abbott & September 1849, To wit: Samuel Abbott This Indenture made this Eighteenth day of September in the year of Our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty nine, between Thomas Abbott & Samuel Abbott of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland, of the one part, and Thomas B. Travers of the County & State aforesaid, of the other part: Whereas the said Thomas Abbott & Samuel Abbott, by their four several Notes of hand duly executed, bearing date the third day of September in the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred & forty nine, stands bound unto the said Thomas B. Travers, his Executors, Administrators & Assigns in the sum of Three hundred & twenty five dollars, current money, with interest thereon till paid, as by the said Notes may more full appear Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Thomas Abbott & Samuel Abbott, in consideration of the said debt or sum of Three hundred & twenty five dollars, owing to the said Thomas B. Travers as aforesaid, and for the better securing the payment thereof with interest to the said Thomas B. Travers, his Executors, Administrators or Assigns, according to the time of payment, and also in consideration of the further sum of one dollar, current money, to them the said Thomas Abbott & Samuel Abbott by the said Thomas B. Travers in hand well & truly paid at and before the sealing & delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged by the said Thomas Abbott & Samuel Abbott, hath granted, bargained & sold, released & confirmed, and by these presents doth grant, bargain & sell, release & confirm unto the said Thomas B. Travers, his heirs & assigns, the Schooner called the Sophia Delia of Oxford, of the burthen of forty seven Tons & 68/95ths parts of a Ton To have and to hold the said Schooner called the Sophia Delia of Oxford and every part & parcel thereof, with the appertenances thereunto belonging, to the said Thomas B. Travers, his heirs & assigns forever, to his & their own use and behoof Provided Always, and it is the true intent and meaning of these presents and of the said parties hereunto that if the said Thomas Abbott & Samuel Abbott, their heirs, executors or Administrators do & shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Thomas B. Travers, his Executors, Administrators or Assigns, the said sum of three hundred & twenty five dollars, current money, with legal interest for the same on the four several notes of hand, then & from thenceforth these presents and every matter and thing therein contained shall cease & be utterly nul & void, but if default shall be made in the payment of any one of the |
