203 State of Maryland Dorchester County To wit: On this 3d day of September 1849. Before one of the Justices of the peace in and for said County appears John H. Carroll and acknowledges the foregoing writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided. At the same time appears Mary Saddler purchaser of the property named to the within Bill of Sale and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that she paid the amount specefied in the above Bill of Sale Taken & Acknowledged before Sam.l Abbott J. P. George W. Trigoe Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale was recorded on Paid Ex.d from the 12th day of September 1849 To wit: Zachariah Trigoe Know all men by these presents that I Zachariah Trigoe of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for and in Consideration of the sum of Fifty five Dollars Current money to me in hand paid by George W. Trigoe of Dorchester Coty and State of Maryland before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I Zachariah Trigoe do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained & sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said George W. Trigoe his executors Administrators and assigns All the Stock & singular that is to say one yoke of Steers & Cart one sow & five shoats 1 Canoe the Crop of corn now growing on the ground now remaining and standing and being in a Certain or tenement situate in Dorchester County and now in the occupancy of he the Zachariah Trigoe. To have and To hold all and singular the said Goods & Chattels and other premises as above bargained & sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said George W. Trigoe his Executors Administrators and Assigns forever & I the said Zachariah Trigoe for myself my heirs Exors & Administrators & assigns All and singular the said Goods & Chattels and other premises unto the said George W Trigoe his Executors Administrators and Assigns and against all and every person whatsoever Shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents of all and singular which said Goods & Chattels and other premises. I Zachariah Trigoe have put the said George W Trigoe in full possession by delivering to him the said Geo W Trigoe one yoke of Oxen and Cart at the sealing and delivery of these presents in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained & sold or mentd and intended to be so unto him the said George W Trigoe as aforesaid. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 12th day of September 1849 Test Charles Corkran Zachariah Trigoe (seal) On this 13th day of Sept 1849 personally appeared George W. Trigoe and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the within Bill of Sale is a true and bonafide sale made for the purposes therein express.d Sworn before Charles Corkran Maryland Dorchester County Sct: On this 12th day of September 1849 personally appeared before me the Subscriber Zachariah Trigoe party grantor in the foregoing Bill of sale and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed and delivered the same for the uses and purposes therein mentioned according to the acts of assembly in such Case made and provided.
