State of Maryland      Be it remembered that the following Bond was recorded on the 17th day
Paid      from   Ex.d   of July 1849 To wit
John R. Andrews & others      {Stamp}                         July 18 1849 I hereby Certify that I
                                              {one Dol}    have resigned the Office of Constable and also do recommend
J R Andrews for the Same                                                                  William J Cowart

                                           We the Subscriber the Justices of the peace in and for
Dorchester County by virtue of a Supplement to an Act entitled and Act for the establishment
and regulation of the Levy Courts in the Several County in this State have appointed
John Rait Andrew Constable of Election District No 5 in the place of William J Cowart
who have resigned  Witness Our hands and Seal this 17th day July 1849
To the Clerk of Dorchester County Court                     Charles Corkran            (Seal)

Know all men by these presents that We John R Andrews Levin L Keene and
Bannamon Mills of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland are held and firmly
bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and just Sum of Two thousand Dollars
Current Money of the United States to be paid to the said State or its Certain attorney
to the which payment well and truly be made and done we bind ourselves our heirs executors
and Administrators jointly and Severally firmly by these presents.   Sealed with our Seals
and dated this 17th day of July 1849.

    The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above bounden John R Andrews
shall well and truly execute the Office of Constable in Election District Number Five in
Dorchester County in all things appertaining thereto and shall well and truly account for
all monies placed in his hands for Collection and Shall also well and truly pay all
Sums of Money received by him on Judgment or otherwise then the above obligation to be
void, otherwise of full force and virtue in Law.

Dorchester County To wit:  On the 17th day of July 1849 personally appeared
before me the Subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for the County aforesaid James
Moobray and Charles L Hooper and made the following Oath To wit:  "We James Moobray
and Charles L Hooper Subscribing Witnesses to the above Bond do make oath that John
R Andrews Levin L Keene and Banamon Mills obligors mentioned in the said Bond
did severally in our presence sign seal and deliver the said Bond as their Act and deed
for the purposes therein mentioned.  Sworn before me on the day above mentioned
                Bond & Security approved by                                    Charles Corkran
