195. and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated this twenty fifth day of June in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred & forty nine. The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above bounden John Richardson, appointed Collector of Dorchester County, shall well & faithfully execute his Office and the several duties required of him by law, and shall well & truly account for and pay to the Commissioners of Dorchester County, or to their order the several sums of Money which he shall receive or be accountable for by law at such time as the law shall direct, then the above Obligation to be void, or else to be & remain in full force & virtue in law. Travers, two of the subscribing Witnesses to the within Bond, before me the subscriber, one of the Justices of the Peace of the state of Maryland for Dorchester County aforesaid & severally made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that they did see John Richardson, Joseph Bradshaw, Peter Wheeler, Silas Fleming, Levin Jones, Samuel Harrington, Benjamin G. Keene & Vachel Keene, Obligors in the said Bond, sign, seal and deliver the said Bond as their respective Act and deed, and that they, the said James Hammersly & William K. Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale was recorded on Paid William Hughes $89 the 10th day of July 1849 To wit: Ex.d from Know all men by these presents that I Catherine S. M. Ray of the City of Annapolis & State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and eighty Dollars to me in hand paid by William Hughes senior of Dorchester County & ^same^ State afd Maryland and before the Sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof I the said Catherine |
