17. before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the said James Frazier of Levin have granted, bargained, sold, conveyed and transfered and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, convey and transfer unto the said Samuel Corner the Crop of Corn now growing on the land on which I reside also the Blades & top Fodder of the same. To have and to hold the said described property unto the said Samuel Corner, his heirs and Assigns to his and their sole use and uses forever and to and for no other use, intent or purpose whatsoever against me the said James Frazier of Levin and my heirs and against all persons whatsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. In Witness whereof the said James Frazier of Levin has hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal this second day of August Eighteen hundred and forty seven his Signed, sealed & delivered in the presence of James x Frazier (Seal) Robert Bell J. P. mark Maryland Dorchester County Sc. Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that on this second day of August Eighteen hundred and forty seven personally appeared the above named James Frazier of Levin before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for the County and State aforesaid and Acknowledged the above and foregoing Bill of sale to be his Act and deed and delivered the same for the uses and purposes therein mentioned according to the Acts of Assembly in such cases made and provided Acknowledged before Robert Bell J. P. Ann Corbin Be it remembered that the following Bill of from Ex.d Sale was recorded the 4.th day of August 1847. W.m S. Corbin {Stamp} Know all men by these presents that I {one dol.} William S. Corbin have agreed to execute these presents, To wit: Whereas for the purpose of satisfying the claims of my Creditors my Wife Ann M. Corbin did together with myself execute a Mortgage upon certain lands in Dorchester County belonging to my said Wife in her own right to a certain James A. Stewart who did make the advances to my creditors and the said Mortgage was given to him And Whereas I have in my own right certain personal property which in justice and equity ought to be secured to my wife from all casualties of trade owing to her having agreed to execute the said Mortgage Now therefore in consideration of the premises and of one dollar to me in hand paid by M.s Ann Corbin my Mother I have bargained & sold to the said Ann Corbin all of my said personal property of every description consisting of the following Articles, To wit: two Cows, 1 yoke of Oxen, ten Sheep, 4 Beds, 1 high post Bedstead, 3 low Bedsteads, 1 English Carpet, Sofa, Settee, |
