William S Jackson      Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale was recorded on the 20th
Ex.d      from      70    day of February 1849  To wit
Thomas Lee               Know all men by these presents that I Thomas Lee of Dorchester
                                  County and State of maryland for and in consideration of the sum of
thirty two Dollars and fifty cents current money to me in hand paid by William S Jackson of
the County and State aforesaid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof
I the said Thomas Lee do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these
presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said William S Jackson his executors administrators
and assigns all the goods hereinafter particularly mentioned, that is to say one yoke of Steers and
ox Cart all and singular which said goods are now in the occupation of the said Thomas
Lee.  To Have and To Hold all and singular the said goods and other the premises above bargained
and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said William S Jackson his executors administrators
and assigns forever and I the said Thomas Lee for my self my heirs executors and administrators
all and singular the said goods and other the premises unto the said William S Jackson his executors
administrators and assigns against me the said Thomas Lee my executors and administrators and
against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by
these presents of all and singular which said goods and other the premises I the said Thomas
Lee have put the said William S Jackson in full possession by delivery to him the said William
S Jackson in full possession by delivery to him the said William S Jackson the said goods at
the sealing and delivery of these presents hereby bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be
unto him the said William S Jackson as aforesaid.  In witness whereof I have hereunto set
my hand and seal this 17th day of February Eighteen Hundred and forty nine

Dorchester County State of Maryland sct  on this seventeenth day of February Anno Domini one
thousand eight hundred and forty nine before the subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for the
County & State aforesaid personally and respectively appeared Thomas Lee the party grantor and
William S Jackson the party grantee to the above and aforegoing Bill of Sale and acknowledged
the same to be their act and deed and executed and delivered the same for the purposes intents & uses therein
expressed  And at the same time William S Jackson the party grantee to the afs.d bill of Sale
made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the sale therein named and mentioned was
and is a bonafide sale and transfer of the property therein named and mentioned and that the amount
therein named as the Consideration for the purchase of said property is the true and just and bonafide
Consideration for the purchase aforesaid            Sworn to before                        Geo A Z Smith

Delivered March 23d 1853 to W.m Jackson
