126. to hold all and singular the said goods, chattels & furniture herein before granted, bargained & sold, or mentioned or intended so to be, unto the said James Rea & William Rea, their executors, Administrators and Assigns, to the only proper use & behoof of the said James Rea & William Rea, their executors, Administrators, and Assigns forever Provided Always, and these presents are upon this condition, that if the said Robert B. Hazzard, his Executors or Administrators, shall and do well & truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said James Rea & William Rea, their Executors, Administrators or Assigns, the full sum of Seventy six dollars, current Money, on or before the first day of January next ensuing the date of these presents, Without Interest, then and in such case, these presents and every matter and thing herein contained, shall cease, determine and be utterly void to all intents and purposes, any thing contained to the contrary thereof in any wise notwithstanding. In testimony whereof the said Robert B. Hazzard hath hereto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and date within written. Signed, sealed & delivered in the presence of Robt. B. Hazzard (Seal) Noah Abbott. Maryland, Dorchester County, To wit: On the 26.th day of August in the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty eight, personally appeared before me, a Justice of the Peace in and for said County, Robert B. Hazzard, and Acknowledged the within and aforegoing Mortgage Bill of sale to be his Act & deed, according to the purport, true intent & meaning of the same, and the acts of Assembly in such case made & provided: And at the same time came before me, Justices as aforesaid, James Rea & William Rea, the Mortgages within named, and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God, that the consideration set forth in this Mortgage Bill of sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth, according to the true meaning of the Act of Assembly of 1846 Chapter 271 in such case made and provided. Acknowledged before Noah Abbott J. P. Lewis Thomas Be it remembered that the following Mortgage Paid 105 from Ex.d Bill of Sale was recorded on the 25.th day of John Thomas September 1848, To wit: This Indenture made this twenty third day of {Stamp 50 cts} September in the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred {posted on } & forty eight, between John Thomas of Dorchester County and state of Maryland, of the one part, and Lewis Thomas of the said County, of the other part Deliv.d Oct.r 3.d 1848 to Lewis Thomas |
