Benjamin, his heirs and Assigns, according to the true intent and meaning
thereof, and the Act of Assembly in such case made and provided:  And at the
same time William I. Benjamin personally appeared before the subscriber and
made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration mentioned
in the aforegoing bill of sale is just and bona fide as therein specified.
Sworn and Acknowledged before                     James Rea.


State of Maryland            Be it remembered that the following Bond
Ex.d   from                      was recorded on the 5.th day of June 1848, To wit:
John E. Graham & others   {Stamp}   Know all men by these presents that
                                        {one dol.}   we John E. Graham, Ezekiel
Richardson Hooper and Barzillai Slacum and all of Dorchester County
of Maryland in the full and just sum of Two thousand dollars,
current Money of the United States, to be paid to the said state,
or to its certain Attorney;  to which payment well and truly to be
made and done, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and Administrators,
jointly and severally, firmly by these presents & sealed
with our seals and dated this fifth day of June in the year
of Our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty eight.

The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above
bound John E. Graham shall well & faithfully execute the office
of Constable in N.o 5 or Lakes Election District, in Dorchester
County, in all things appertaining thereto, and shall also well &
truly account for all monies placed in his hands for Collection,
and shall also well & truly pay all sums of Money received by
him "Agreeable to an Act of General Assembly of Maryland
passed at November Session Eighteen hundred and nine entitled
"A Act relating to Constables Bonds", and shall well & truly account
for all money which he shall receive on Judgments, and shall well
and truly pay over the same, and shall faithfully perform all acts
which he shall perform in virtue of his office, in the said County in
the State of Maryland, then the above Obligation to be void, else to remain

I James Hammersly, a Justice of the Peace of the state of
Maryland, in and for Dorchester County, do hereby certify that
Fielder G. Jones and John L. Willis this day appeared before
me and took the following Oath.   We Fielder G. Jones & John
L. Willis, subscribing Witnesses to the above Bond, do make
Oath that the obligors mentioned in the said Bond did, severally
