103. State of Maryland Be it remembered that the following Bond was from Ex.d recorded on the 17.th day of April 1848, To wit: Walter Kirby & others {Stamp} Know all men by these presents that we {one dol} Walter Kirby, William Kirby and John Richardson, of Dorchester County in the state of Maryland, in the full and just sum of firmly bound unto the state of Maryland, in the full and just sum of two thousand dollars, current money of the United States, to be paid to the said state or its certain Attorney; to the which payment well and truly to be made and done, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated this 17.th day of April 1848. The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above bounden Walter Kirby shall well and truly execute the Office of Constable in Election district number Seven, in Dorchester County, in all things appertaining thereto, and shall well and truly account for all monies placed in his hands for Collection, and shall also well and truly pay all sums of Money received by him, then the above Obligation to be void, otherwise of full force & virtue in law. Signed, sealed & delivered Walter Kirby (L S) in the presence of W.m Kirby (L S) James Higgins John Richardson (L S) Barzillai Slacum Dorchester County, To wit: On the 17.th day of April 1848, personally appeared before me the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace, in and for the County aforesaid, James Higgins & Barzillai Slacum, and made the following Oath, To wit: "We James Higgins and Barzillai Slacum, subscribing witnesses to the above Bond, do make Oath that Walter Kirby, William Kirby and John Richardson, Obligors mentioned in the said Bond, did severally, in our presence, sign, seal and deliver the said Bond as their Act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned."
