Sealed with our seals and dated this 9.th day of June in the year of
Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty seven.
The Conditions of are such that if the above bounden William
Creighton shall well and faithfully discharge the duties of Treasurer
of the Primary Schools of Dorchester County according to law then the
afore Obligation shall be void otherwise it is to be and remain in full

State of Maryland      Be it remembered that the following Bond was
          from   Ex.d      recorded on the 16.th day of June 1847, To wit:
Kendal M. Jacobs     {Stamp}   Know all men by these presents that we
& William Rea           {50 cts}   Kendal M. Jacobs and William Rea
                                  of Dorchester County in the state of Maryland
are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full
and just sum of Seven hundred and thirty four dollars and sixty six
cents current money of the United States to be paid to the said state
or its certain Attorney to the which payment well and truly to be made
and done we bind ourselves and each of us our and each of our heirs,
executors and Administrators jointly and severally firmly by these
presents.  Sealed with our seals and dated this sixteenth day of June
in the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty seven.
The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above
bounden Kendal M. Jacobs appointed Collector of Dorchester County
shall faithfully collect and pay the sum of Three hundred and sixty
seven dollars and thirty three cents Current Money of the United States
into the Treasury of the state of Maryland on or before the first
day of July in the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty
eight to and for the use of the state then the above obligation
to be void or else to be and remain in full force and virtue in law.
