doth hereby grant bargain and sell unto the said W V M Edmondson
his heirs and assigns the following property to wit  One Dunn Colored
mare one Pen Knife one saddle and Bridle all which property
is now in the Town of East New Market  To have and to hold all
and singular the said property above bargained and sold or meant
mentioned or intended so to be unto the said W V M Edmondson his heirs
and assigns forever  And I the said Nathaniel J Wilburn for myself my
heirs executors and administrators all and singular the said property
unto the said W V M Edmondson his heirs and assigns against me
the said Nathaniel J Wilburn my executors and administrators and
against all and every other person or persons whatsoever claiming
or to claim shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents
of all and singular which said property I the said Nathaniel
J Wilburn have put the said W V M Edmondson in full possession by
delivery unto him the said W V M Edmondson one Pen Knife at the
sealing and delivery of these presents in the name of the whole premises
hereby bargained and sold or intended so to be unto him the said W V
M Edmondson as aforesaid   In witness whereof I the said Nathaniel
J Wilburn have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this first
day of april in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred
and forty three

State of Maryland Dorchester County &   Be it remembered that
on this first day of april in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight
hundred and forty three personally appears Nathaniel J Wilburn
before me the subscriber a justice of the peace in & for the County and
State aforesaid I being perfectly satisfied that he is the identical person
therein refered and acknowledges the within Bill of sale or instrument
of writing to be his act and deed and the property therein named
and thereby bargained and sold to be the right and estate of the within
named W V M Edmondson according to purport true intent and meaning
of the said Bill of sale or instrument of writing and the acts of assembly
in such case made and provided
                   Taken and Certified the day and year above written

                                                                   Justice of the peace
