89 Justly indebted to the Samuel Dunnock in the Sum of two hundred and sixty dollars current money and to secure the payment thereof is willing to execute these presents Now this indenture witnesseth that the said Mary Gad for and in consideration of the premises and of the sum of four dollars Current money to her in hand paid by the said Samuel Dunnock at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath Granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Samuel Dunnock his executors administrators and assigns all and singular the property hereinafter particularly mentioned and expressed that is to say one negro Girl Eliza Jane Eleven head of Cattle one horse one ox Cart two beads beadsteads and furniture and two ploughs and six head of hogs and twenty cords of oak wood at the landing to have and to hold all and singular the said property unto the said Samuel Dunnock his executors administrators and assigns to his and there own use and behoof provided always and it is declared to be the true intent and meaning of these presents that of the said Mary Gad do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Samuel Dunnock his executors administrators or assigns the full sum of two hundred and sixty dollars Current money with legal Interest for the same on or before the 22d day of March 1845 then and in such case these presents and every mater and thing herein Contained shall Cease determine and be utterly void to all intents and purposes any thing herein Contained to the Contrary notwithstanding In witness whereof the said Mary Gad has hereunto set her hand and seal the day and date before writen Signed sealed and delivered Mary Gad (Seal) in the presence of Henry Shenton Maryland Dorchester County to wit on this 22 day of March 1843 personally appeared Mary Gad before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace for said County and acknowledge the aforegoing bill of sale or instrument of writing to be her act and deed according to the true intent and meaning of the same acknowledged before Henry Shenton Wm V M Edmondson Be it remembered that the following bill of Ex.d from sale was recorded on the 31 March 1843 to wit Robt Harding Know all men by these presents that I Robert Harding of Dorchester County state of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred forty seven dollars and Seventy three cents current money of Maryland to me in hand paid by W V M Deld W V M Edmondson 18 Sept 1843 |
