65 Samuel Briley & Be it remembered that the following bill of sale was William Briley recorded on the 31st Jany 1843 to wit Know all men Ex.d from by these presents that I Thomas Briley of Dorchester County Thomas Briley and state of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred dollars current money to me in hand paid by Samuel Briley and William Briley of the county and state aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivery of the presents the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Samuel Briley and William Briley their Executors administrators and assigns one negro man James aged twenty eight years one negro girl Mary aged seven years one bay mare one stear one cow one heifer ten head of sheep one sow and pigs seven young hogs an ox cart three Beds and furniture two tables five chairs one mantle clock one desk one chest one cupboard and ware two guns six sixty gallon Casks fifteen barrels of corn three Stacks of fodder two stacks of hay two stacks of straw two barrows and six hundred weight of pork all which property is now in my possession to have and to hold the same herein described property above bargained and sold to the said Samuel Briley and William Briley their executors administrators and assigns forever to their only proper use and benifit and I the said Thomas Briley for myself my Executors and administrators and assigns the said described property against me my Executors & administrators and against all and every other person or persons claiming the same or any part thereof In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this twenty sixth day of January eighteen hundred and forty three his Signed sealed and delivered Thomas + Briley (seal) in presence of mark Attest Sam.l Twilley Maryland Dorchester County to wit Be it remembered that on this twenty sixth day of January in the year of Eighteen hundred and forty three before me one of the Justices of the peace of the said state in and for the County aforesaid personally appeared Thomas Briley and acknowledged the within writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the act of assembly in such case made and provided Acknowledged before Samuel Twilley Delivered Nov.r 9.th 1845 to [illegible] T Wheatly State of Maryland Be it remembered that the following Bond was recorded Ex.d from on the 31 Jany 1843 We the Subscribers two W.m W Davis Justices of the peace in and for Dorchester County by virtue of a Supplement to an act entitled an act for the establishment |
