64 John Bradshaw of the same County and state aforesaid of the other part whereas the said Joseph R Stewart stands indebted and bound unto the said John John Bradshaw and whereas the said John Bradshaw has superseeded various debts and is therefore bound and likely to have the same to pay for the said Joseph R Stewart amounting in all to the sum of one Hundred and ten Dollars & fifty cents now this Indenture witnesseth that the said Joseph R Stewart in consideration of the said debt and sums for which the said John Bradshaw is bound as superseeden as aforesaid and for the better securing the payment thereof with Interest to the said John Bradshaw his executors administrators or assigns hath given granted bargained and sold released and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell release and confirm unto the said John Bradshaw his heirs and assigns the following property to wit four Horses four yoke of oxen one waggon three ox carts twenty head of sheep twenty one shoats Eight cows Fifteen head of young cattle seven sows and fifty four pigs one wheat fan one corn shelter fifty Barrells of corn one gig a Harness To have and to hold the above described property and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said John Bradshaw his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own use and behoof provided always an act is the true intent and meaning of these presents and of the said parties hereunto that of the said Joseph R Stewart his heirs executors or administrators do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said John Bradshaw his executors administrators or assigns the full and Just sum of one Hundred and ten dollars and fifty cents current money with legal Interest for the same on or before the tenth day of March next 1843 without any deduction or abatement whatsoever then and from thenceforth these presents and every matter and thing therein contained shall cease and be utterly null and void anything therein to the contrary thereof in any wise notwithstanding In witness whereof the said Joseph R Stewart hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written Signed sealed and delivered Joseph R Stewart (seal) in presence of James Rea State of Maryland Dorchester County sct Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that on the thirty first day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three before the subscriber a Justices of the peace of the state of Maryland on and for Dorchester County personally appears Joseph R Stewart he being thrown to us to be the person who is named and described as and professing to be a party to the foregoing deed or indenture and doth acknowledge the said Indenture or instrument of writing to be his act and deed In testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe my name on the day and year aforesaid James Rea |
