the from of Travers & Kirwan in the sum of Four hundred &
forty 74/100 Dollars arising from various Transactions betwene the
said Phillip H Graham & the said Traverse & Kirwan the payment
of which sum of Four hundred & forty 74/100 dollars he the said Philip H.
Graham is desirous of securing by pledging to the said Traverse &
Kirwan one undivided fourth part of said Schooner Heroine &
appurtenances  Now know Ye that I the said Philip H Graham
in consideration of the premises & the further consideration of the
sum of one Dollar to me in hand paid at the time of the perfection of
these presents by the said Jeremiah Thomas Travers & Solomon
F. Kirwan the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have
granted bargained sold assigned transferred and set over and
by these presents do grant bargain sell assign transfer and set
over unto the said Jeremiah Thomas Traverse and Solomon F
Kirwan their executors administrators and assigns all that
the said one undivided fourth part of said Schooner or vessel
called the Heroine of Oxford together with a like proportion
of her masts yards sails Rigging Anchors cables boats Tackle
apparel and appurtenances as she now lies in the port of
Baltimore and is more particularly described in a certificate of
Enrolement granted her at the port of Oxford in the following
words Enrolement Permanent "No 36 Thirty six Enrolment
in Conformity to an act of the congress of the united States of
America entitled "An Aact for Enroling and licensing ships
or vessels to be employed in the Coasting Trade & fisheries and
for regulating the same" Philip H Graham of Dorchester
(Seal)          County and state of maryland having taken or
(of the)        subscribed the Oath required by the said act and
(Treasury)   having Sworn that he is a citizen of the United States
(of the)              Sole owner of the ship or vessel called the Heroine of
(United States)   Oxford whereof Phillip H Graham is at present Master
                         and as he hath sworn is a citizen of the United States
(Seal)                and that the said ship or vessel was built in Dorchester
(of the)              County State aforesaid during the present year as appears
(Eccleston)        by the master carpenter's certificate dated 22 Inst
(of the port of)   new Vessel
Nich.s Willis      and Peter Richardson having certified that the said
    Collector       ship or vessel has One deck and two Masts and that
(Seal)                her length is Sixty seven feet   her Breadth Twenty
(of the)              feet her depth Five feet and that she measures
(Naval officer)   Fifty seven and 85/95 parts of a son that she is a
(of the port)       schooner has a square stern no Gallaries and
