all and singular which said goods and chattles are now
remaining standing and being in a certain Messuage
or tenement situate in Dorchester county and now in
the occupation of the said Rodger C Roberson  To have and
to hold all and singular the goods and chattles and other
the premises above bargained and sold mentioned and
intended so to be to the said Marcellous D Keene his executors
administrators and assigns forever and I the said Rodger
C Roberson for my self my heirs executors and administrators
all all and singular the said goods and chattles and
other the premises unto the said Marcellous D Keene his
executors administrators and assigns against me the
said Rodger C Roberson my executors and administrators
and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever
shall warrant and forever defend by these
presents of all and singular which said goods and
chattles and other the premises I the said Rodger C
Roberson have put the said Marcellous D Keene in full
possession by delivering to him the said Marcellus D
Keene one bay mare at the sealing and delivering of
these presents in the name of the whole premises hereby
bargained and sold or mentioned and intended to be so
unto him the said Marcellous D Keene as aforesaid
In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this
twenty first day of January Eighteen hundred and
forty three

State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit
Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that on
this twenty first day of January in the year of our
Lord Eighteen hundred and forty three before me the
subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of Maryland
in and for Dorchester county aforesaid personally appeared
Rodger C Roberson he being Known to me to be the person
who is named and described as and professing to be
the party to the foregoing bill of sale or indenture and
doth acknowledge the said indenture or instrument
of writing to be his act and deed  In testimony whereof
I hereunto subscribed my name in the day and
year aforesaid                     Fielder Jones   (seal)
