Jonathan Hurlock to have and to hold all and singular the said
goods and property above bargained and sold or mentioned and
intended so to be to the said Ann E Sullivan her executors administrators
and assigns forever and I the said William Thomas for myself
my heirs executors and administrators all and singular the said
goods and property to wit one ox cart one Bay mare one Broken horn
steare one young steare white with Black round his neck and head
one Brindle cow with white back about eight years old one young
Brindle cow with white back one young white cow with red about
the neck all and singular which said property unto the said
Ann E Sullivan her executors administrators and assigns against
me the said William Thomas my executors and administrators
and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever
shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents
of all and singular which said goods and property above mentioned
I the said William Thomas have put the said Ann E Sullivan
in full possession by delivering to her the said Ann E Sullivan
one Bay mare at the sealing and delivering ot these presents
in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained and sold
or mentioned and intended to be so unto her the said Ann E Sullivan
as aforesaid in witness whereof I here set my hand and seal this
12th day of January 1843

Maryland Dorchester County to wit   On this 13th day of January
1843 personally appears William Thomas Before me the subscriber
a Justice of the peace in and for said county and acknowledge the
within Bill of Sail to Be his act and deed and the acts of assembly
in such case made and and provided            Algernon Thomas


Marcellus D. Keene      Be it remembered that the following Bill
Ex.d      from                 of sale was recorded on 26 Jany anno
Rodger C. Roberson     domini 1843 to wit      Know all men
by these presents that I Rodger C Roberson of Dorchester County
in the state of maryland for and in consideration of the sum
of one hundred dollars current Money to me in hand paid
by Marcellus D Keene of said county in the said State at
or before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt
whereof I the said Rodger D Roberson do hereby acknowledge
have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do
grant bargain and and sell unto the said Marcellus D
Keene his executors administrators and assigns that is to
say one negro woman Margaret Ann one Girl Hester Anne
one negro man William Bishop and one bay mare
