Edmondson mark State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit Be it remembered that On this thirteenth day of January 1843 personally appeared Mitchell Neale the party granted within named before me the subscriber a justice of the peace in and for the county and state aforesaid and acknowledges the within Bill of sale or instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the property therein specified to be the right and estate of the within named Henry W Hicks the party granted his heirs and assigns forever? according to the purport true intent and meaning of said Bill of sale or instrument of writing and the acts of assembly in such case made and provided Taken and certified the day first above written William Newton Levin H. Wall Be it remembered that the following bill of sale Ex.d from was recorded on 20th Jany anno domini 1843 Richard Pattison to wit Know all men by these pressents that I Richard Pattison of Dorchester County in the state of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars current money to me in hand paid by Levin H Wall of Dorchester County in the said state at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said Richard Pattison do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Levin H Wall his executors administrators or assigns all the Goods and chattels house hold stuff implements and furniture Perticular mentioned and expressed and contained in the Schedule hereafter mentioned that is to say 3 negro men one called Jack and one called Thomas and one other called Stephen two horses 3 yoke of steers 3 cows and calves 15 head of this cattle two ox carts two head of sheep one gigg and harness 6 sows and 30 pigs one wheat fan two plow with all the other farming utentials crop of wheat on the ground forty barrels of corn 1500 lbs salted pork 15 bushels of oats one fodder house 3000 lbs of blade fodder one lot of wheat straw ten bushels irish potatoes one milk house 4 beekins one clock 3 beds and furniture with all the ballance of the household and Kitchen furniture ten turkeys and twenty head of dunghill fouls one Bag of coffee and one barrel of sugar |
