or purpose whatsoever    Provided always and it is the true intent
and meaning of these presents and of the parties hereto  That if the said
William Short shall on or before the first day of July next pay and
satisfy to the said Isaac & Brittingham Robinson the within named
note for one hundred dollars and the interest thereon and then
due; then and from thenceforth these presents and every matter
and thing therein contained shall cease and be utterly null
and void any thing herein contained to the contrary notwithstanding
In testimony whereof the said William Short has hereunto
set his hand and seal the day and year first herein
written   interlined 9th line from
             top one hundred dollars                  his

State of maryland Dorchester county to wit      be it remembered
that on this the sixteenth day of January in the year
of our Lord eighteen hundred and forty three personally
appeared before us the subscriber two of the Justices of the
peace in and for the county & state aforesaid the within
named William Short party granted in the within and
aforegoing Indenture and acknowledged the same to be
his act and deed and delivered the same for the use and
purposes therein mentioned  And we further certify
that William Short the person making said acknowledgement
and signing said Indenture we are satisfied is the
same cautious person who is therein named and discribed
as & posessing to be the party granted therein mentioned
agreably to the acts of assembly in such cases made
and provided         Acknowledged before

and White & Anderson        Bill of Sale was recorded on 18 Jany
Ex.d      from                       anno domini 1843 to wit
James W Parmer                 Know all men by these Presents that
I James W Parmer of Dorchester County and state of maryland
For and in consideration of the of sixty one dollars and cents
money To me in hand paid by W G Lecompte & White & Anderson
of the county and state aforesaid at or before the ensealing
and delivering of these pressents  The receipt whereof I the
