Veleria V. Byns her heirs, executors, Administrators and Assigns against
me the said William Rea, my heirs, executors and Administrators & against
all and every other person or persons claiming under me shall & will warrant
and defend.  In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed
my seal this 26.th day of December 1846.

State of Maryland Dorchester County, To wit:  On this 26.th day
of December 1846 before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace
in and for the said County & State personally appeared William Rea
and Acknowledged the above Bill of sale or instrument of writing
to be his Act and deed according to the true intent & meaning thereof
    Acknowledged before                                    Robert Bell  J. P.


W.m C. Cook      Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale
Ex.d   from           was recorded on the 30.th day of December 1846.
Delia Byns               (Stamp)     Know all men by these presents that I
                              (one Dol.)   Delia Byns of Dorchester County for and
in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and seventy five dollars
to me in hand paid by William C. Cook of said County have bargained
and sold unto the said Cook, his heirs, Ex.rs & adm.rs or Assigns my Negro
woman slave called Minty and her child now about six or eight
months old being a Boy child and both slaves for life   To have and
to hold the said Woman "Minty" and her child aforesaid to the said
William C Cook and his heirs and Assigns forever.  In Witness
whereof I have hereto set my hand & seal this 30.th Dec.r 1846.

Dorchester County, To wit:  On this 30.th Dec.r 1846 personally
appears before us the subscribers Justices of the Peace for said County

                                that I Ann H. Bayly of Dorchester County
in the State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations
me thereunto moving and also in further consideration of the
sum of Three hundred dollars current money to me in hand paid
