370 these presents do hereby release from slavery, liberate, manumit and set free the following named Negroes, To wit: Negro woman Linah now about the age of Twenty three years to serve untill the age of twenty five years then to be free. Boy Levin son of Linah four years of age to be free at the age of twenty four years. Negro Girl Mary Frances daughter of Linah nine months old to be free at the age of twenty four years. Negro Girl Hester sixteen years of age in December nest the twenty fifth of said month to serve untill she arives at the age of twenty one years then to be free. Negro Henry being about the age twenty five years and Negro Andrew about the age of twelve years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and them the said Henry & Andrew I do declare to be henceforth free, manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me, my executors or administrators forever. And I do declare the above ^other^ Negroes above named who have a time to serve to be free, manumitted & discharged from all manner of service or servitude to me, my heirs, executors or administrators when their time of service above named shall expire. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this tenth day of July one thousand eight hundred and forty six. Signed, sealed & delivered in the presence of Levin Jones (Seal) James Jones of Levin James Hammersley Received on the day of the date above mentioned the sum of one dollar current money it being the full consideration money mentioned within Levin Jones Maryland Dorchester County, To wit: on this 10.th day of July 1846 personally appears Levin Jones party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland for the said County and acknowledges the same to be his Act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned and the said Negroes within named to be free and Manumitted according to the specifications therein set forth according to the Act of Assembly in such cases made and provided.
