State of M.d               Be it remembered that the following Bond was
Ex.d   from                 recorded on the 22.d day of June 1846, To wit:
Kendal M. Jacobs      Know all men by these presents that we Kendal M.
                                  Jacobs, Thomas Dail, Francis P. Phelps & Turpin
State of Maryland Stamp      Wright of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland are
                Six                        held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland
             dollars                      in the full and just sum of Twenty Eight thousand
                                             four hundred and fifty three dollars and Eighty four
cents current money of the United States to be paid to the said
State or its certain Attorney to the which Judgment well and truly
to be made and done we bind ourselves and each of us, our
and each of our heirs, Executors and Administrators jointly &
severally firmly by these presents.  Sealed with our seals and
dated this tenth day of June in the year of our Lord Eighteen
hundred and forty six         The Condition of the above
Obligation is such that if the above bounden kendal M.
Jacobs appointed Collector of Dorchester County shall well and
faithfully execute his office and the several duties required of
him by law and shall well and truly account for and pay
to the Commissioners of Dorchester County or to their order the
several sums of Money which he shall receive or be answerable
for by law at such time as the law shall direct then the
within obligation to be void or else to be and remain in full
force and virtue in law                              Kendal M. Jacobs   (seal)

             Dorchester County, To wit:
Be it remembered that on this tenth day of June in the year of Our Lord
Eighteen hundred & forty six personally appeared John Newton & Algernon Thomas subscribing
Witnesses to the within & above Bond before me the subscriber one of the Justices
of the Peace of the State of Maryland for Dorchester County aforesaid and severally
made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the did see Kendal M.
Jacobs, Thomas Dail, Francis P. Phelps & Turpin Wright obligors in the said Bond
sign, seal and deliver the said Bond as their respective act and deed and that
they the said John Newton & Algernon Thomas and subscribe their names as
witnesses thereto                                                         Robert Bell   J. P.

             Approved by order of the Board of Commissioners for Dorchester
County June 22.d 1846.
