severally firmly by these presents   Sealed with our seals and dated
this tenth day of June in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred
and forty six   The Condition of the above Obligation is
such that if the above bounden Kendal M. Jacobs appointed
Collectors of Dorchester County shall faithfully collect and pay the
sum of Three hundred and sixty seven dollars and thirty three
cents current money of the United States unto the Treasurer of
the State of Maryland on or before the first day of July in the
year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty seven to and for
the use of the State then the above Obligation to be void or else
to be and remain in full force and virtue in law.

State of M.d               Be it remembered that the following Bond was
Ex.d   from                 recorded on the 22.d day of June 1846, To wit:
Kendal M. Jacobs      Know all men by these presents that we Kendal M.
                                  Jacobs and William Rea of Dorchester County and
State or Maryland Stamp      State of Maryland are held and firmly bound unto the
                50                        State of Maryland in the full and just sum of Four
             Cents                       hundred and ninety five dollars current money of the
United States to be paid to the said State or its certain Attorney
to the which payment well and truly to be made and done we
bind ourselves and each of us our and each of our heirs, executors
and Administrators jointly and severally firmly by these
presents   Sealed with our seals and dated this tenth day of June
in the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty six.
The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above
bounden Kendal M. Jacobs appointed Collector of the Direct Tax
under the Act of the Legislature of the State of Maryland passed
the 10.th day of March 1842 Chapter 325 shall well and faithfully
perform the duties required of him as Collector by the Act
aforesaid or by law then the above obligation to be void or else to be
and remain in full force and virtue in law.
