Maryland Dorchester County, To wit:  On this twentieth day of
May in the year of Our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & forty
six before the subscribers two Justices of the Peace in and for said
county appears Samuel Pattison of Dorchester County and John
Elliott of Caroline County and acknowledged the foregoing writing
to be their act and deed according to the true intent and meaning
thereof and the acts of assembly in such case made & provided

John Troth      Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale
Ex.d   from      was recorded on the 27.th day of May 1846, To wit:
Mobray & Hurley              Know all men by these presents that
State of Maryland Stamp   we Levin Mowbray and Algernon
             one                       Hurley of Dorchester County in the
          Dollar
State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of six
hundred dollars current money to us in hand paid by John Troth
of said County and state aforesaid at and before the sealing and
delivering of these presents the receipt whereof we the said Levin
Mowbray and Algernon Hurley do hereby acknowledge, have granted
bargained & sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell
unto the said John Troth, his Executors, Administrators & assigns
all the entire crop of corn that was conveyed to the said Mowbray
and Hurley by the said Troth ^in^ a former bill of sale dated 18.th July
1843 also four head of Horses, one yoke of Oxen and Cart, one Gig
and Harness, two Cows, five yearlings, nine Shoats, two sows & pigs,
seven sheep, forty Barrels of Corn, two thousand lbs of Blade fodder,
twenty five Bushels of Oats, twelve hundred lbs of Pork, three Beds
and furniture, one Bureau, one Mahogany Table, seven chairs, one Carpet
and all the farming utensils of the said Troth that was conveyed in a
bill of sale to Levin Mowbray and Algernon Hurley dated 23.d December
1843 bargained and sold or mentioned or intended so to be to the said
John troth his Executors, Administrators or Assigns forever.  And we the
said Levin Mowbray and Algernon Hurley for ourselfs our heirs Executors
and Administrators all and singular the said crop of Corn and the above
name articles unto the said John Troth his Executors, Administrators &
Assigns against we the said Levin Mowbray and Algernon Hurley our
Executors, administrators and against all and every other person or persons
whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these
presents.  In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands & seals this
