to be paid to the said State or its certain Attorney to which payment
well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors
and administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents.
Sealed with our seals and dated this 20.th day of April A. D. 1846
The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above
bounden David M. Todd shall well and faithfully execute the Office
of Constable in the Town of Cambridge in Dorchester County in all
things appertaining thereto and shall also well and truly account
for all moneys placed in his hands for Collection and shall also
well and truly pay all sums of money received by him agreeably to
an Act of the General Assembly passed at November Session 1809
entitled "An Act relating to Constables Bonds and shall well & truly
account for all money which he shall receive on Judgments and
shall well and truly pay over the same and shall faithfully
perform all acts which he shall perform in virtue of his office
in the said County in the State of Maryland then the above Obligation
to be void else to remain in full force & virtue

I Robert Bell a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland
in and for Dorchester County do hereby certify that John Muir
and Saml I Meekins this day appeared before me and took
the following Oath;  We                              and
subscribing witnesses to the within Bond do make Oath that the
obligors mentioned in the said Bond did severally in our presence
sign, seal and deliver the said Bond as their act and deed
for the purposes therein mentioned.  Given under my hand this
20.th day of April   A. D. 1846                        Robt Bell    J. P.


State of M.d            Be it remembered that the following Bond was recorded
Ex.d   from          on the 20.th day of April 1846, To wit:
Josiah Layton      Know all men by these presents that we Josiah
    Constable        Layton, John B. Dean and Richardson Gambrell
                           of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland are
held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full &
just sum of Two thousand dollars current money of the United
States to be paid to the said state or its certain attorney to the
which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind
ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators jointly & severally
