338. Attorney to the which payment well and truly to be made & done we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators in the whole and for the whole jointly and severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our seals and dated this twenty third day of March Eighteen hundred and forty six. The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above bounden John R. Shenton will well and truly execute the Office of Coroner in all things thereunto belonging and shall also well and faithfully execute and return all writs or other process to him directed and shall also pay and deliver to the person or persons entitled to receive the same all sums of Money all goods & chattels by him levied seized or taken agreeably to the directions of the writ or other process under which the same shall have been levied, seized, or taken and also shall keep and detain in safe custody all and every person & persons committed to his custody or by him taken in Execution or who shall be committed for want of bail without suffering them to escape or depart from his custody and shall also satisfy and pay all Judgments which shall be rendered against him as Coroner and shall also well & truly execute and perform the several duties required of or imposed upon him by the laws of this state then the above obligation to be void otherwise to be and remain in full force & virtue in law. Stevens & Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale Martin M. Dean was recorded on the 7.th day of April 1846, To Wit: Ex.d from paid Know all men by these presents that I George W. Garey George W. Garey of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of Eight hundred dollars current money to me in hand paid by Hooper B. Stevens & Martin M. Dean of said County and State aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I the said George W. Garey do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain and sell unto the said Hooper B. Stevens & Martin M. Dean their Executors, Administrators and Assigns all the goods and Chattels following, To wit: The Crop of wheat now growing on the Farm where I at present reside one Bay Horse, one Bay Mare, one Yoke of Oxen and Cart, two Plows, three Harrows, three set of plow gear, five hundred Deld H B Stephens 23 July 1846 |
