Josiah Ross &
Mary Jane Ross      Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale
Ex.d   from             was recorded on the 5.th day of February 1846.  To Wit:
Edward Ross          Know all men by these presents that I Edward Ross
                               of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for and
in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars current
money to me in hand paid Josiah Ross and Mary Jane Ross in the same
County & State aforesaid at and before the sealing & delivering of these presents
the receipt whereof I the said Edward Ross do hereby acknowledge, have
granted, bargained & sold and by these presents do grant, bargain & sell unto
the said Josiah Ross and Mary Jane Ross their executors, administrators
and assigns all the goods, house hold stuff, implements & furniture particularly
mentioned, expressed and contained herein after particularly mentioned
that is to say one milks cow, two breeding sows, 15 Barrels
of Corn, two stacks of Blade fodder, one lot of Coarse Provender, one
Gig & Harness  all and singular which said Goods & Chattels are now
remaining, standing & being in a certain Messuage or tenement situate
in Dorchester County near East New Market and now in the occupation
of the said Edward Ross  To have and to hold all & singular the said
goods, house hold stuff & furniture, and other the premises above bargained
and sold or mentioned & intended so to be to the said Josiah Ross & Mary
Jane Ross their executors, administrators & assigns forever  And I the
said Edward Ross, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators
all and singular the said goods, house hold stuff & furniture and other
the premises unto the said Josiah Ross and Mary Jane Ross their
executors, administrators and assigns against me the said Edward
Ross my executors & administrators and against all and every other
person or persons whatsoever shall & will warrant and forever defend
by these presents of all & singular which said goods, stuff, property &
other the premises ^I^ the said Edward Ross has put the said Josiah Ross &
Mary Jane Ross in full possession by delivering to them the said Josiah
Ross & Mary Jane Ross one Milks Cow at the sealing & delivering of these
presents in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained & sold or mentioned
and intended to be so unto them the said Josiah Ross & Mary Jane Ross
as aforesaid.  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal
this 24.th day of January 1846                                    his

Maryland Dorchester County To Wit:  on this 24.th day of January 1846 before
me the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace in and for said County Edward
Ross and acknowledges the within or foregoing instrument of Writing to be his
act and deed according to the true intent & meaning thereof and the Acts
of Assembly in such case made & provided.  Acknowledged before
