John Hughes      Be it remembered that the following Bill of
Ex.d   from         Sale was recorded on 12 Jany anno domini 1843 to wit
Authur Hughes   Know all men by these presents that I Arthur Hughes
of Dorchester county and state of maryland for and in consideration of the
amounts sums of several debts which John Hughes is for for
of Samuel Webb $24 dollars one of Cornwell & vicke $375 cents one of
James K Lewis Adm of Alfred M Lewis $33.00 or also one other of William
D Barrow Adm of John H Barrow the amount $16.00 dollars paid for the
consideration of the above I hereby Bill a sale all my right of the following
property to wit to John Hughes his heirs or assigns untill released
of the above claime three beds and furniture two yoke of oxen one cart
6 cows 7 yearlings 15 head of hogs crop of wheat on the farm I rented
of James K Lewis and also a small crop where I now live and I the
said John Hughes are hereby acknowledge and agree when the above
claims is settled to release and and give up all my right to the said
Artheor Hughes to the above mentioned property in witness whareof
I the said Arthur Hughes have hereunto set my hand and seal this
7th day of January 1843

Dorchester County   on this 11th day of January 1843 came Arthur
To wit                      Hughes before me the subscriber a Justice of the
peace for the county aforesaid and acknowledged the above Instrument
of Wrighting to be his act and deed according to the true intent and
meaning of the same theirof and act of assembly in such case made
and provided taken and Acknowledged before me

Levin Moore EJ.      Be it remembered that the following ^mortgage^ bills
Ex.d   from               of sale was recorded on the 12th Jany anno
William Reagan        domini 1843 to wit   Know all men
by these presents that I William Reagan of Dorchester County for
the consideration of the sum of three Hundred and Eighty Dollars current
money to me in hand paid by Levi Home of Elliotts Island at or
before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof
I the said William Reagan do hereby acknowledge have granted
bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and
sell unto the said Levin Moore his Executors administrators
and assigns the one half of a schooner called the Lark (of about
forty tons burthen Now in the possession of said Reagan &
Archibald Gray to have and to hold the one half of the
said schooner called the Lark above bargained and sold
or mentioned or intended so to be to the said Levin Moore
