322 Indenture and acknowledged the same to be this act and deed and delivered the same for the uses and purposes therein mentioned at the same time personally appeared before us the Justices aforesaid the said Delia H Bayly wife of the said Alexander H. Bayly and out of the presence and hearing of the said Alexander H. Bayly her husband did Sign Seal and execute the within and aforegoing Deed and Acknowledge the same to be his Act and deed and the Negro Slave Hannah therein mentioned and thereby bargained and Sold to be the right and property of the within named Eliza E. Hayward her heirs and assigns forever. And the said Delia B. Bayly being by us privately examined of and from and out of the hearing of her husband whether She doth execute and make her Acknowledgment of the Same willingly and freely and without being induced to do so by fear or threats of or ill usage by her husband or fear of his displeasure Acknowledged that she does execute and make Acknowledgment of the same deed willingly and freely and without being induced to do so by fear or threats of or ill usage by her husband or fear of his displeasure. And we do further Certify that of our own Knowledge we are Satisfied that the Said Alexander H. Bayly and Delia B Bayly who make the above Acknowledgments and the same persons who are named and described as and professing to be the parties grantors in the within and aforegoing Deed of Indenture Acknowledged before and Certified by Robt Bell W.m W LeCompte State of Maryland Be it remembered that the following Bond was recorded Ex.d from on the 5.th day of November 1845, To wit: David M Todd & others To all whom it doth or may concern I hereby resign and give up the office of Constable having determined that I will not perform the duties thereof longer As Witness my hand this 5.th day of November 1845. Test Robert Bell William Bell We the Subscribers two Justices of the Peace in and for Dorchester County by virtue of a Supplement of an Act entitled an Act for the establishment and regulation of the Levy Court in the several Counties of this State have appointed David M. Todd Constable for the Town of Cambridge in Dorchester County in the place of William Bell the former Constable who has resigned.
